Hello! Today I'm going to be writing about a much loved makeup brand.. which is Benefit!
For Christmas I received two Benefit makeup sets. I LOVE them, they both have mini Benefit makeup in them and they are the most perfect little creations ever. I also got two mini 'they're real' mascaras- one was included in the set. I did have the large version of this mascara but I've just ran out, but I now have these I'm going to use and I received a Soap and Glory gift box for Christmas which came with one of their mascaras so I shall be trying that one out, it's the 'thick and fast' one. I'll also be talking about the famous Hoola bronzing powder.

How to look best at everything

First up I'm going to talk about the one which is called 'How to look best at everything' - in light (£25.50). I got this one from my Auntie and her family and it is a fab present! Ugh benefit why are you so perfect? Anyway, it has a little 'tips and tricks' booklet and under that is a cute little mirror. The gift box contains their famous boi-ing concealer in shades 01 and 02, which is flawless of course! It covers up redness, bags and little spots really well and is one of those concealers you can probably get away with just by itself with some powder over the top! The normal size concealer is £17.50 and you can purchase it from Boots and they have 5 different shades. Their 'Hello flawless oxygen wow' (in champagne) foundation is also in the set. Benefit is correct, yet again this is another flawless product; it gives you a natural look yet gives full coverage. It feels so light, like air, on your skin hence why 'oxygen' is in the name! I would recommend it to everyone, although it is quite pricey at £25.50, but I think it would last you quite a while and the packaging is so simple and fresh, which I personally love. Penultimately there is the 'Me vain?' powder in champagne (comes with a little powder brush) this is also very good and gives a matte perfect finish. A great powder to finish off your makeup look. Finally there is the POREfessional pro balm, which minimizes the appearance of pores. This is a fab product you apply to where ever you would like/need before you apply your foundation. This actually works amazingly and instantly! It has such a smooth and soft texture and when you apply it to your skin it feels as if you've put nothing on it's that light! It also leaves your skin irresistibly smooth. This product is £24.50.

Hoola bronzing powder

Hello everyone! I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas- I certainly did! So sad that it's all over now though, it always goes so quick..
I'm currently just sat here relaxing, writing this blog post, listening to music and enjoying my new candles haha! (Comment below your fave Yankee candles- just a bit of fun!)
I have just inserted a few Christmasy photos at the end! I'm sorry; I would have done a really Christmasy (is that even a word?) blog post but my internet wasn't working on my laptop and in fact it still isn't, so I'm currently using the old 'family' laptop!

MAC Snob lipstick

This is the first ever MAC item I have ever got and I am in love. This lipstick is a pale dusty pinky purple colour, which is absolutely gorgeous! Creme cup and Russian red are next on my list to buy from their lipstick range and I also want to purchase the 'painterly' paint pot because they just look so nice (like everything!!)


It feels so so smooth when you apply it to your lips and it isn't drying at all- although I do recommend putting on a lip balm before you put the lipstick on first time you put it on in the day (that's if you don't already apply a lip balm!)


This shade, I think, is perfect for winter and summer; it's a pale colour yet you could wear it with something summery/pastel coloured in the summer!
The packaging is also so slick and classy and does not look cheap at all (which is good; they're expensive haha!) They're just perfection in a tube (or whatever it's in!) to be honest!!

I really recommend MACs lipsticks; although they're expensive at £15 they are totally worth every penny in my opinion (and a lot of others!!) So go and buy yourself one- they have such a wide range of shades so you will definitely find one you like!

Just wanted to say before I begin.. happy December! Who's looking forward to Christmas? I'm buzzing! I have completed all my Christmas shopping this weekend and I have wrapped everyone's presents up already! I'm so organised this year! Also, we got our Christmas tree and put up all the decorations yesterday which really got me in the Christmas sprit, now it just needs to snow!!
I'm just going to insert a few of Christmassy photos I've taken (I would insert my Christmas tree but I'm yet to take a photo of it- so I'll put it in my next blog post which is going to be mega Christmassy!!)





Anyway on with the review..
Today I'm going to be writing about Bourjois' healthy mix serum.
I purchased this one not the actual foundation one because when I swatched it it just felt so nice on my skin.

This gel based foundation is f a b u l o u s. It's my favourite foundation I have purchased, ever. It has a matte finish with a medium coverage I would say and gives you an utterly flawless, even complexion. The actual foundation, Bourjois healthy mix foundation (basically the same name) I've heard, is high coverage.
The foundation blends so well and is so natural so it doesn't look patchy or fake at all. It has a very smooth texture which means it's very easy to apply and therefore feels lovely and light on your skin! I usually, 90% of the time, use my fingers to put on my foundation however I do occasionally use a brush when I actually can be bothered! When I do I use my real techniques* pointed foundation brush, which needs a clean, in fact all my brushes do haha ops!
Also, the packaging is simple but nice I think. (Just thought I'd comment on it!)


The foundation also has a bonus because it smells of fruits.. lychee, goji berries and pomegranate. I have no clue what lychee is but it smells nice so it's all good!
The only disadvantage of this product is that Bourjois don't do a very wide range of shades, which means people with a paler complexion wouldn't be able to find one suitable for their skin, which is a bit of a bummer! Come on Bourjois!! I usually purchase like the 3rd/4th/5th lightest shade but with this foundation I'm the lightest shade which is called light vanilla (51). However, I could probably get away with the next shade up called vanilla (52) but I didn't want to risk spending £11 on a foundation that makes me look orange; it's not my colour! It isn't that cheap but isn't that expensive either, so yeh haha! Therefore if you're not sure what foundation to get, and you're not pale, then I seriously recommend this one; it would be the best £11 you will ever spend on a makeup product! But if you haven't got enough money for this foundation or you're paler, then I do recommend Rimmels match perfection foundation because they do such a wide range of shades and although it is a low coverage foundation you can kind of build it up slightly. But all in all it is a fab foundation at a cheaper price of £6.99.
If you've got a bit more money and can afford MAC and Bourjois don't have the correct shade for your skin tone or you just want an expensive foundation that gives high coverage then I think MACs studio fix fluid foundation would be perfect for you, although I have never tried it (I will) I have heard so many good things about it and they also do a large range of shades which is fab (obviously!) It is around the £20 mark but I have heard it is worth it!



All in all if you have £11 and need a new foundation/want to try a new foundation BUY IT because it is so worth every penny!
